Master Gardener Training Class

The application process for the next Master Gardener training course will begin in May, 2014 and the program will begin in September, 2014.

If you would like to be notified when more information becomes available, please fill out the Online Notification Form and we will send you an email once we have set some of the details.    However, if you have not heard from us by June 1st, 2014, please contact us at 512.854.9610.

In order to receive an application, you must attend an information session to learn more about the program and its volunteer requirements.   The information sessions are held in June of each year that the program is offered.  After the information sessions, approximately 50 applicants are chosen for 30-minute personal interviews with the selection committee, and approximately 30 applicants are accepted into the program.

The details of the program in 2013 (subject to change) were:

Cost:  $250

Information Sessions:  June 10, 14, and 19

Personal interviews:  July 22 — August 2.

Class times and dates:  Every Tuesday from 8 AM to 5 PM from September 10 through November 19.

Although  not always held on Tuesdays, the programs are always held from 8 AM to 5 PM on weekdays in the fall (due to scheduling of speakers, length of the program, and volunteer requirements once the classroom training is completed).
